“After missing out on my dream of representing Canada on home soil at the 2010 Olympics I decided to go as a fan. Was it ever worth while! Watching my teammates win Olympic medals reaffirmed my goal to compete for Canada at the Olympics. To do so I have to take my training to the next level, increase my focus, and commit more than ever to my goals. Still, this dream of reaching the Olympics is so much more than two weeks of competition; it’s about the moments that get me there. It’s about being inspired daily by my teammates and coaches, pushing my body to it’s limits running up a mountain, and working with intense focus for those brief moments of perfect skating. No matter what challenges I face through my adventures as a speed skater I finish everyday convinced that I am LIVING THE DREAM.”
